The software I downloaded cannot install or run on my Windows(R) 7 computer. What can I do?

Q:  The software I downloaded cannot install or run on my Windows(R) 7 computer.  What can I do?

A:  Some of B&K Precision's current firmware were originally designed to support older versions of Windows(R) such as Windows 98/2000/XP.  Unfortunately, some of these software may not support Windows(R) 7, or it may only support 32-bit versions. 

If in the case that the software does not install on Windows(R), users may try to install a virtual environment provided by Microsoft(R) as a free download.  Note:  This is only available for users with Windows(R) 7 Professional and Ultimate Edition only.  This solution will not work for users with other versions of Windows(R) 7.  With this, users can download what's called "Windows XP Mode" that will allow users to run Windows(R) XP in a virtual window within Windows(R) 7 like a window of its own.  Then, installing the software within that was designed for older versions of Windows(R) may install successfully and run.  Users can virtualize the serial COM ports or the USB port for devices that use RS232 or USB for remote interface.
