PV8500 software is not working on Windows 7

Operating System:  Windows (R) 7
Applicable Software:  PV8500
Version:  6.35 or below

This article pertains to an issue that occurs on Windows(R) 7 operating systems to communicate with any of the 85XX series DC loads when using the IT-E132 USB adapter for remote interface.  The issue pertains to PV8500 versions 6.35 or below.

To check the version of your installed PV8500 software, simply launch the application and go to "Help" -> "About" for version # displayed in the window.

To resolve communication issues with the conditions described above, please do a complete uninstall of the current PV8500 software installed on your system and proceed to install the latest version, which can be downloaded here:

This version fixes the following:
- Compatibility issues with Windows(R) 7 and using IT-E132 USB adapter or other USB to serial adapter used in conjunction with IT-E131 adapter.
- Various bug fixes
