Q: I need an adapter to program a chip.  Where can I find this information?

A: Assuming you already know how to use the PG4UW software to program your chip, the adapter # you need will be quick to find with the below instructions.  If you do not know already how to use the software or are looking into specifc adapters you need only, please follow the instructions from the related article at the bottom of this article first, then proceed with the below instructions.


1. Open up the "Select" window to the listing of programmers.
2. Find and select the chip you want to program, along with the packaging that matches what your chip is.  Then click on "chip info" button at the bottom left.
3. Under the list of supported programmers, there are some information in ( ) next to the model.  Some of them will have "ord. no" with a number ini the form of "70-xxxx".
4. This number is the adapter # that you need to program your chip.  Copy this down and contact our distributors or contact B&K Precision directly for ordering information of this adapter.
